Alliant Power California Privacy Policy

This Alliant Power, Inc. California Privacy Policy (the “CaPP”) applies to “California Consumers” as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) and supplements the Alliant Power Website Privacy Policy. Generally, “California Consumers” are California residents. In case of any conflict between the CaPP and the Website Privacy Policy, the CaPP takes precedence for California Consumers. For this CaPP, “Alliant Power”, the “Company”, “we”, “our”, and “us” refer to Alliant Power, Inc., and their affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, officers, owners, directors, employees, agents, and representatives.
The CCPA grants California Consumers specific rights, including the right to know what Personal Information is collected, how it’s used, to whom it’s disclosed, the right to access or delete their Personal Information, and the right to opt out of its sale under certain circumstances. This CaPP details the Personal Information we may collect and share, explains your privacy rights, and provides ways to exercise them.
Categories of Personal Information We May Collect/Share
“Personal Information” is information that identifies, relates to, describes, can be associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a California Consumer or their household. We may collect Personal Information when you interact with us online (via our websites) or offline (e.g., through employment paperwork). The information collected depends on the interaction but includes the following categories collected in the past 12 months:

Alliant Power Does Not Sell Personal Information
In the last twelve months, Alliant Power has not sold any Personal Information of California Consumers to third parties and will not do so moving forward.
Your Rights Under the CCPA
The CCPA provides California Consumers with the following rights:
- Right to Know: Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of Personal Information collected, sources, third-party recipients, and the business/commercial purpose for collection, disclosure, or sale.
- Right to Deletion: Request deletion of Personal Information collected about you, subject to verification.
- Right to Opt-Out: Opt out of the sale of your Personal Information. As we do not sell Personal Information, this right is currently inapplicable.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: Not be discriminated against for exercising your CCPA rights.

To process access or deletion requests, we must verify your identity to a reasonable degree of certainty. You must provide required information (e.g., last 4 digits of your Social Security number) via our online form or phone. We match these with third-party verification services and our records. Authorized agents may submit requests with a valid power of attorney or a document authorizing the agent to act on your behalf, and we may require you to verify your identity directly.
Limitations on Exercising Your Rights
We may not provide specific Personal Information or delete data if we cannot verify your identity. Additionally, the CCPA exempts certain data from deletion, such as information needed for legal obligations, transactions, security, or internal purposes.
